Consultation for Coaches

In addition to my formal clinical work, I offer my consultation expertise to coaches and people in the organizational and business world. Relationships are complicated and I am here to help with the challenges what may arise working with individuals and groups. The depth of your work creates an intimacy, and this is nearly always a place where difficulties and questions arise. I enjoy getting to those stick places and helping you get out of muck.

I can help navigate the relational complications that come up with your clients so you can provide the coaching you are offering in an effective way. I do this is by offering the techniques we use as therapists to develop our skills in clinical supervision and consultation. We are trained to work closely with a supervisor/mentor to see where our buttons lie so that we can get out of the way and be able to focus on our clients. I have over 18 years of experience being in both the clinical mentor and mentee role and will be able to help you untangle complicated questions and feelings.

In addition, I can provide education about the scope of human mental health challenges that may arise. Knowledge about mental health is enormously powerful in navigating professional difficulties.

I find that the frame of picking the most challenging client is an effective method for making things go more smoothly in your work. Often time we get stuck in patterns with people. Focusing on the most challenging relationships can shine a light on the important question of what the client is bringing and what is most difficult for you. Together as a team we will help you make changes so your work can be more fulfilling and profitable. Life is too short to repeatedly struggle with the same thing.
